  •  Eighteen years in senior positions at reinsurance claim departments:
    • Alea North America, Wilton, Connecticut (2004-05)-Senior Vice President-responsible for operation of reinsurance claim group including oversight of claim audits, reserving, coverage analysis, and claim processing.
    • Munich Reinsurance, NYC (1987-93)-Vice President-Supervised the Munich US Branch in such lines of business as Directors & Officers, asbestos, professional liability and general liability. Extensive coordination with, and travel to, German parent.
    • General Reinsurance, Stamford, Connecticut (1978-87)-Claim Executive-responsible for a diverse range of insurance company clients reinsured by GRC.  Actively involved in monitoring captive insurance company programs, as well as facultative and treaty accounts.
  • Twelve years in senior level consulting
    • Tillinghast Consulting (2004)-Senior Consultant-Responsible for organizing and running a variety of complex projects for clients, including expert support in asbestos litigation; evaluation of bad faith claims; and claim leakage studies.
    • Ernst & Young (1996-2004)-Principal in actuarial group-Provided consulting services to a wide variety of E&Y’s clients: internal audits; expert witness testimony; claim leakage studies; breast implant litigation; insurer liquidation in Japan; claim department reorganization in Australia; reinsurance commutations; industry salvage and subrogation benchmark study.
    • Coopers & Lybrand (1993-96)-Senior Consultant in actuarial group- internal audits; expert witness testimony; insurer liquidation in Illinois, Texas and California.
